International Day of Service
Sep 16, 2022 to Sep 16, 2022
Welcome to the International Day of Service!
On September 16th, Friends of Ottumwa's Parks is presenting International Day of Service in Ottumwa. Ottumwa Schools, the City of Ottumwa, local civic groups, churches and nonprofits are coming together for a HUGE clean-up effort in Ottumwa parks and neighborhoods. Our goal is to not only provide a valuable service to our community, but also foster a love of volunteering and show the power of a caring community.
You can participate as an individual, family or group. United Way will distribute supplies and provide sack lunches and t-shirts for volunteers.
Schedule for the day:
-
9:15 AM- 9:45 AM: Volunteer sign-in and supply pick up at United Way of Wapello County.
-
10:00 AM- 12:00 PM: Trash pick up and clean up at selected site.
-
12:30 PM: Optional refreshments and celebration at Central Park.
We are asking for registration to ensure we have enough supplies and lunches. Team leaders can register for a group. You may opt-out of the sack lunches and/or t-shirts.
