Who We Are
Resilient Neighbors is a community-driven network of volunteers and local resources dedicated to helping our neighbors live in safer, healthier homes. Founded by the Resilient Communities Wapello County, we recognize that many of our neighbors, including children and retired veterans, face unsafe living conditions due to financial or skill limitations. Our mission is to step in and provide support, ensuring everyone can enjoy a safe, dignified living environment.
What We Do
We connect volunteers and community referral sources to assist our under-resourced neighbors with minor home repairs and maintenance. Whether it's fixing a leaky roof, repairing broken stairs, or addressing other small issues, we aim to remove the barriers—whether financial or skill-based—that prevent our neighbors from living in a safe and comfortable home.
Through Resilient Neighbors, we work together to build a stronger, more supportive community—one home at a time
