YMCA Of Ottumwa

Our programs and services include a variety of activities for anyone wishing to improve their spirit, mind and body. They include family programs such as child care and parenting programs, wellness and fitness programs for promoting healthier lifestyles and rehabilitation, instructional programs for youth that teach and encourage positive life long skills and values. The Y also provides many opportunities to gather together in a positive environment to strengthen family and develop friendships.

The YMCA is a health and human service agency serving the Ottumwa and Wapello County area. Our focuses are Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility.--History:The YMCA as an organization has been around since 1844. It was developed in London England. It has been serving the Ottumwa community since 1887. While the organization has grown and changed over the years, the mission of providing programs and activities to improve a persons spirit, mind and body has remained the same. Today we have over 3,000 members.
